Gown & Goose was born from a love of events and a belief that the best celebrations should feel effortless and unmistakingly you.
After a decade spent bringing events to life from other’s visions, I created Gown & Goose to offer something more personal: beautifully considered details and thoughtfully planned logistics accompanied by a calm presence beside you from the first idea to the last dance.
And then there’s Goose. The four - legged inspiration behind the name, the unofficial creative director, and a daily reminder that the things we love most are often found in the littlest details.

For me, it wasn’t a choice to be in the Event Industry; I was born for it. That’s corny, I know.
30+ years ago, a young couple from middle-of-no-where, Pennsylvania were blessed with two beautiful baby girls, a homestyle restaurant, and natural gifts and talents that would help them succeed. Through a series of hilariously odd events, they grew their small Sunday spot into a full-scale catering and events company that would one day become award winning, and I had a reserved front row seat to it all!
For the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of working behind the scenes of some of the biggest, most beautiful, most meaningful events - from folding the napkins to loading the catering trucks to constructing the centerpieces to establishing the timeline to trying out the menu - I’ve truly touched it all. I’ve seen what happens before the guests arrive, behind the scenes when things inevitably go sideways, and in those final moments when everything comes together exactly as it should. More importantly, I’ve learned that exceptional events aren't just about beautiful details. They’re about thoughtful planning, good instincts, knowing your vendors, anticipating problems before they become problems, and creating an experience that feels effortless for the people actually enjoying it.
That first-hand experience is the foundation of my approach to event planning - equal parts organization and intuition. I’ll obsess over the timeline, notice the little things, solve problems before they become bigger problems, and bring the knowledge of what happens behind the scenes - and most importantly, the practical understanding that only comes with years of doing the work.
I’m drawn to weddings that feel intentional rather than overly styled, elevated without feeling stuffy, and romantic without trying too hard. My goal is simple: to create celebrations that feel considered, personal, and beautifully executed while making the process a whole lot less overwhelming along the way.
Because after a lifetime spent in the events world, one thing is for certain:
The best events may look effortless. They rarely happen that way.

Our namesake, Goose. We know what you’re thinking... another millennial and her dog...
Gown & Goose founder, Caitlyn, rescued Goose as a spunky pup with a heart murmur through breeder surrender. From weekend #1, Goose was her wedding day assistant! His endearing personality welcomed vendors, his nose directed the tour routes and rated Pittsburgh Cookie Tables, his eye for decorating was...well, that could use some work...
He still has many great years and grand events ahead of him and deserves his recognition for reigniting a passion for people and being a reminder that perfection was never really the point, the feeling is.
The best stories are the ones with a trusty side kick.
I believe your wedding should feel like you.
Not a copy of someone else’s wedding. Not a collection of trends because they’re having a moment. And definitely not a day where you’re too busy managing the details to enjoy it.
I believe in thoughtful design, meaningful details, realistic timelines, and planning that leaves room for the unexpected. I believe luxury is as much about how something feels as how it looks. And I believe the best weddings aren’t necessarily the ones with the most of everything.
They’re the ones where every detail feels like it belongs.
Because you deserve all three
-
The beauty, the details, the design, the moments you’ve imagined.
-
The personality, the unexpected, the joy, the stories you’ll actually remember.
-
The planning, logistics, timelines and countless little details that make everything feel effortless. A day of advocate who provides calm in the chaos, who is obsessed with the details, and who appreciates beauty not just for beauty’s sake.
